Welcome to   "BALLOT! PINOY!"*---a one-of-a-kind concoction on the 1998 National Elections, served hot and ready for your consumption!  Here's a delectable and nutritious supplement to the May 11 Elections.   Just take your pick from the DUCK EGGS on the side bar to navigate within our Menu or the links below. This Home Page is designed for the thinking Pinoy Youth, especially the newly-hatched voters.

*Balut and Penoy are local delicacies,  first concocted in Pateros, but now found all over the Philippines, wherever ducks (called "bibi") are raised.  Balut and penoy are hardboiled fertilized duck eggs noted for their taste and nutrition.  The balut is even widely believed to be an aphrodisiac.  Not for the fainthearted, balut comes with a duck embryo sometimes complete with the beginnings of feathers.  For the initiate, penoy is the more gentle introduction to the fine art of balut-eating because it is incubated for fewer days than the balut. Both balut and penoy go best with an ice-cold bottle of the local beer and eaten in the dead of night when the solitary cry of the late night vendor still occasionally breaks the silence:  "Baluuuut! Penoooooy!"
